I just received a phone call from a resident who had received a phone call from... well, let's just say it's someone I recently referenced... and she told them that "Mark Allen is going to raise taxes on you."
Uh, no. I'm going to say this again, just for her benefit:
We're $190,000.00 AHEAD in the General Fund, than we were in February 2005, when Mr. Carter was in. No one is raising Village taxes in the Heights. Certainly not me. Certainly not the Board of Trustees.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess. It sure is sad when the desperation leads to plain old lying.
Yeah, it's desperate and despicable. And won't work.
ReplyDeleteTo one of the best if not thee best Chief Executive Officer Peoria Heights has ever had, long may you wave, Mayor Allen. Thank you for the facts and always keeping it real. The Village is indeed in very good hands tonight, and will be also tomorrow as you have more than earned the right of being re-elected by the Heights because of your diligence and responsible hard work. I hope you, the independent board running mates and your families are able to get some much needed (I'm sure) rest, because you all have some celebrating to do in what is now just a few short hours away. Andrea Pendleton makes me sick. I heard her husky voice on my answering machine, telling me that you're a dictator. Ha! We all know who the real dictator is, and that's Earl "The Pearl" Carter. I'm just watching the election results roll in, and I'm laughing so hard about Earl and his cronies losing. HAHAHAHA!!! That's just what they are - losers. Earl Carter is a moron. He spent all that money on huge signs, that libelous propaganda hit-piece mailing, and the automated/recorded Andrea Pendleton propaganda phone call. And it looks like Big Earl and his minions are going to lose - bigtime! That's beautiful. I hope you sue the pants off Earl Carter and Andrea Pendleton for libel/slander.
